How to promote a brand in your channel

Once your channel (e.g., website, social media profile, blog) has been reviewed and approved for a specific advertiser, you are all set to begin promoting their offers.

The primary way to promote an advertiser and track your performance is by using your unique tracking links:

  • Find a brand: Locate the specific brand within the Adtraction platform that you want to promote. If you don’t have an approved application to that brand, read more here on how to apply to a brand.

  • Generate tracking link: Use the link generator tool to create a unique tracking URL for the specific product or landing page you want to promote. Read more in this article on how to create tracking links.

  • Publish: Simply use your unique tracking link when publishing content on your approved channel(s). Any sales or leads generated through this link will be accurately tracked and credited to you.

Always use the unique tracking link provided via the Adtraction platform. Commission will not be able to register unless your unique link is used.

Policies

There are different policies that are presented directly on the brand’s page. The policies state what type of channels they allow you to promote them at.

Policies are listed as 6 categories: Creators, Content marketing, Paid marketing, Direct marketing, Savings and rewards and Other.

Each category has a subset of categories and brands allow different types of channels within those categories. You can show the subset of categories by clicking on a primary category.

If all types in a category are allowed, that will be stated as “All policies allowed”, if a subset of policies is not allowed that will be shown.

Brand specific rules

Many brands also have brand-specific promotional rules which can be found on the brand page and in the full description of the brand’s program. To view a brand's promotional rules click on "View full description".

Below the brand's presentation you will find all of the brand-specific promotional rules that applies to that brand.

Brand material

You can use different brand material when promoting brands. To see what material each brand offers you can visit their brand page.

In general you are allowed to use images, promotions and discount codes that are available from the brands page on the Adtraction platform. But always make sure that you follow each brand's policies and rules.

Promotions & links

If a brand has an active promotion you can easily find it on the brand page below the brands description. Active promotions are listed with the unique landing page for that specific offer together with the period the promotion is active.

Promo codes

If the brand offers any general promotion codes or discount codes you will find them on the brand page.

You can use these promo codes when you are promoting brands as long as the promo code is active and published in the Adtraction platform.

In order to earn commission when using general promotion codes that are shown on the brand’s program page your visitors or followers must visit the brand via your unique tracking link.

You can read more about promo codes in the article how to find and work with promo codes.

Product feed

Many ecommerce brands offer product feeds which you can use to present up to date product information like price, stock status and so on. You can also search and find products that you would like to promote. You can read more about product feeds and how they work in this article.

Popular products

For many ecommerce brands you can find popular products directly on the brand page, these are products that currently are popular to promote.

If you are looking for certain products to promote, you can read in this article on how you can use our product search tool.
