What is a product feed?

A product feed is a file provided by a brand that contains a list of all their products and associated details — such as titles, prices, image URLs, and stock status.

By using these feeds through Adtraction, you can automate the process of displaying up-to-date product information on your channel without manual entry.

Note that all product feeds provided via Adtraction are delivered in XML format.

How to find product feeds in Adtraction's platform

To find brands that offer product feeds, simply navigate to Products in the main menu and select Feeds in the top right corner.

Here, you will see a list of all brands that offer a product feed. You can also use the filters to display only feeds for certain channels or brands.

Filtering by channel

If you manage multiple channels (websites, social media, etc.), you can narrow down your list:

  1. Use the Channel filter at the top of the page.

  2. Select the specific channel you wish to use.

  3. The list will automatically update to show only the brands where you have an approved application for that specific channel.

Copying the Product feed URL

To get the URL for a product feed, you must first have an Approved status for that brand.

  1. Find the brand in your list.

  2. Click on the three dots (...) to the right of the brand name.

  3. Select "Copy feed url".

How often are product feeds updated?

Product feeds are typically updated once per day, though this can vary. Some brands offer more frequent updates, while others may update less often.

To see the exact status of a feed, check the "Last updated" column. This tells you exactly when Adtraction last updated the product feed with fresh data from the brand.

Get product feeds via Adtraction API

For developers and advanced users, you can use the Adtraction API v3 to retrieve product feeds.

The documentation can be found here: Adtraction API v3 Reference

Important: Please note that the endpoints for product feeds in Adtraction API v2 are deprecated. We recommend all users migrate to v3 for the best performance and continued support.
