Adtraction’s payment process for partners

This article explains the commission payment process — from when a sale has been made to when the money reaches your bank account.

Written by Linn Ødegaard

How your commission moves through the pipeline

Every commission you earn passes through four stages before it is paid out. You can follow the status of your balance at any time by navigating to Earnings in the left-hand sidebar, then selecting the Account balance tab.

Waiting for Brand

Your commission is waiting for the brand to review and approve the transaction. This is the starting point for all sales.

Confirmed by Brand

The brand has approved the transaction. Adtraction will now issue an invoice to the brand.

Invoiced to Brand

Adtraction has invoiced the brand. Your commission will move forward once the brand pays that invoice — or immediately if the brand is eligible for Early payout.

Ready for payout

The brand has paid their invoice. Your commission is queued and will be included in your next scheduled payout.

ℹ️ Note: The most common reason commission stays in Waiting for Brand for an extended period is that many brands offer a 30–45 day returns window to their customers. Transactions are typically approved at the end of the returns period.

Standard payments

Once your commission reaches Ready for payout, it will be included in your next scheduled payment.

How payout dates work

Adtraction creates a self-invoice once a month on your chosen payout date. You can choose between the 5th, 12th, 19th, or 26th of the month. If no date has been selected, the 5th is the default.

Payment is made on the first banking day at least 5 days after the self-invoice is created. For example:

  • Self-invoice created on the 5th → payment made from the 10th

  • Self-invoice created on the 12th → payment made from the 17th

Once payment has been sent, funds typically arrive within two working days depending on your bank. Delays may occur for international transfers.

⚠️ Important: Only commission with Ready for payout status before your self-invoice date will be included in that month's payment. Any commission where the brand pays their invoice after your self-invoice date will be shifted to the following month's cycle.

Example

If a brand approves, invoices, and pays for April transactions by 5 June, those commissions will be paid to you on 10 June. If the brand does not pay their invoice until after 5 June, your payout for those transactions shifts to the July cycle.

Early payout

Partners also have the option to request an Early payout — receiving commission for transactions that have been invoiced to the brand but not yet paid to Adtraction. This is available once per month and a 3% fee applies to the early payout amount.

Early payout is not available for all brands. Eligible brands are tagged with an Early payout badge in your Earnings page.

Why haven't I received my payment?

If you are expecting a payment that has not arrived, work through the following checks in order:

1. Is your payment information complete?

All payment details must be filled in before Adtraction can process a payout. Navigate to Settings > Account & payout (click your email in the bottom left corner of the platform, then select Settings) and ensure all required fields are completed.

2. Does your balance meet the minimum threshold?

Payouts are only processed when your balance exceeds the minimum threshold for your currency. The current minimums are:

  • 100 SEK

  • 100 NOK

  • 100 DKK

  • 10 EUR

  • 10 GBP

  • 50 PLN

  • 10 USD

If your Ready for payout balance is below these amounts, no payment will be generated. You can also set a higher personal threshold in your payout settings if preferred.

3. Is your commission still in an earlier stage?

Check the four pipeline statuses in your Earnings page. If your commission is still in Waiting for Brand, Confirmed by Brand, or Invoiced to Brand, it is not yet eligible for payout and will progress once the brand completes their part of the process.

4. Are your payments paused?

Check whether Paused Payments is active in your payout settings. If it is, all payouts are stopped until you log in and deactivate it yourself.

Still need help?

If you have worked through all the checks above and still have not received your payment, contact Adtraction support through the chat and we will investigate further.
