Before you can create tracking links, you will need to have an approved Channel in the Adtraction network as well as approved Program applications.
When promoting an advertiser, you can either link to the homepage of an advertiser’s website, or you can link directly to a specific product page or category. The latter options are what we refer to as deeplinks.
What is a tracking link?
A tracking link is what makes you able to promote a brand and earn commission when the visitors from your link completes a purchase or any other conversion that the brand pays commission for.
A tracking link is unique for your relationship between your channel and a specific brand. If you have several channels each of them will have one unique tracking link for each of the brands that the channels are approved for.
Creating links using the Adtraction Platform
This is the most common method for getting links, especially for creating deeplinks to specific product pages.
Obtain a general tracking link
To get a standard tracking link (which typically directs users to a brand’s homepage), follow these steps:
Navigate to the specific brand’s presentation page.
The default tracking link is located prominently on this page. Click the green button to copy the link directly to your clipboard.
Obtain multiple tracking links
To view or filter links for all brands you are currently partnered with:
Select the Brands section from the left-hand sidebar menu.
Switch from the default Card view to the List view for a more condensed overview.
Use the filters to view only Approved brands. You can also refine your filters by specific channels, brands offering commission increases, or additional parameters to suit your needs.
Create a link to a specific product (deeplink)
If you want to direct users to a specific product or category page rather than a homepage, you can create a deeplink. There are two ways to do this within the platform:
Using the link creator tool
The fastest way to generate a deeplink is by using the tool located at the top of your dashboard.
Click the Create link button in the top-left corner of the platform.
Paste the URL of the specific product page into the input field.
Your tracking link will be generated automatically.
If you don't have an approved relationship with the brand for the URL you submit, you will get an error message "Missing brand: Brand is not part of our network or url is not valid."
Via brand's presentation page
You can also create a deeplink directly from a specific brand’s page:
Navigate to the brand’s presentation page.
Click the Edit link button which you find below your tracking link.
Expand the Advanced section.
Enter the product URL in the Target URL field.
Click Copy & close to save and copy your new deeplink.
Some brands do not allow deeplinks for their programs. If you try to create a deeplink to a brand that doesn’t allow it, the link will lead to their decided landing page instead of the url that you used.
Using the Adtraction Chrome extension
Adtraction’s Google Chrome extension enables you to get tracking links directly from the website of an advertiser.
Download the plugin, install it on your computer and log in to your Adtraction account via the plugin. A green, blinking light will appear when you visit the website of an e-commerce advertiser connected to the Adtraction platform. The drop-down allows you to create tracking links from the particular landing page visited, and even apply for the program directly in the plugin.

Using the Adtraction app
If you prefer creating tracking links using your smartphone, you can download Adtraction’s mobile app.
When you are logged in to the app, you can create tracking links for approved channels and advertisers to which you are connected. Simply tap «Links» in the menu and copy the link to the advertiser you want to promote. If you want to create a deeplink, you can use the text field to paste in the specific URL for which you want a tracking link created.
