Brands routines

As soon as you have applied to a brand they will see the application from your channel and will be able to decide to either approve or reject your application.

Brands have different routines for managing their new applications. Some brands will automatically approve channels directly and some have a manual process of reviewing channels before making a decision.

How long does it take?

The review time for a brand of your application varies for each brand. Typically, you can expect a decision within 1-7 business days. However, this can sometimes take longer (up to a couple of weeks) depending on the brand's internal resources.

What if my application is taking a long time?

If it has been more than two weeks, it is likely that the brand is still processing a high volume of applications. Unfortunately, Adtraction cannot speed up this process or approve the application for them, as the decision rests entirely with the advertiser.

We recommend you continue applying to other brands in the meantime.

How do I know if my application has been approved?

As soon as a brand has reviewed the application you will receive an email notification. That notification will include the outcome of your application which either is Approved or Rejected.

You can also see this directly in the platform by navigating to the Brands section from the left menu.

Then filter the list of brands, do this by selecting your channel and also filter by Approved as the status.

After you’ve filtered by the channel you select and the status Approved all brands that have approved your application will be listed below.

If a brand hasn't reviewed your application yet, you can see that by changing the filter on the Brands section to Pending. All brands that still haven’t reviewed your application yet will be listed below.

Reasons for brands rejecting applications

Brands have different guidelines and rules for partners, some brands are more selective than others.

If your application has been rejected you will receive an email with information on why the brand has rejected your application.

Common reasons for an application being rejected are:

  • The brand doesn't allow your channel type.

  • The brand is restrictive and only allows a few partners.

  • The content of your channel is not relevant to the brand.

  • Your channel’s URL is not reachable.

  • Your channel doesn’t fit the Brand strategy.

  • The brand doesn't allow new partners.

  • Your channel doesn’t have enough content.

I was rejected, how can I apply to the brand again?

If a brand has decided to not approve your application you can not apply to that brand again with the same channel.

We recommend that you browse the brand directory to find other brands that suit your audience.
