Why can I not apply to a brand?

There are several reasons why you might be unable to apply to a specific brand on Adtraction. This article covers the most common blockers and how to resolve them.

You don’t have an approved channel

To apply to any brand within Adtraction, you must first have at least one approved channel. If your channel is still pending or has been declined, you will not be able to apply to any brand.

If you haven’t created a channel yet, or need to add a new one, follow our guide here: How to create your first channel.

Channel type restrictions

Brands have specific policies regarding which types of channels they allow (e.g., a brand might allow "Creators" but not "Search engine ads"). These policies are visible on each individual brand page.

If your channel type is listed under “Not allowed,” you will see a notification explaining the restriction when you try to apply.

If you have other channels (e.g., a social media account or website) that fit the brand's allowed types, try applying with those instead.

Market policies

You can only apply to brands that operate in the same market as your channel.

Example: If your channel is registered for the Norwegian market, you will only be able to apply to brands active in Norway.

Ensure you are browsing brands within your channel's specific market. If you operate in multiple countries, you should create a separate channel for each market.

Previous rejected application

If your application to a brand was previously rejected, you are not allowed to re-apply to that same brand with the same channel. This is a permanent status for that specific channel-brand connection.

What can I do?

While you cannot re-apply with that specific channel, we recommend browsing our brand directory to find similar advertisers. A different brand in the same category might be a better match for your channel!

Before clicking "Apply to promote", always check the brand page to ensure your content aligns with their specific requirements and policies!
