Why use fallback links?

If a brand closes its partner program, any existing links to that brand become "broken" or invalid instantly. Manually finding and replacing these links across your website or social channels is time-consuming.

Until those links are updated, visitors who click them will have a poor experience, and you will miss out on potential commissions.

Fallback links solve this by providing an automated safety net. They allow you to continue profiting from your traffic while you work on updating your content. Custom fallback links are managed at the channel level, you can customize the redirect destination for each of your channels (e.g., one setting for your blog and another for your YouTube channel), ensuring your visitors always land on the most relevant page.

How to add fallback links

Setting up custom fallback links is quick and easy. Because fallback links are applied at the channel level, you can choose the best strategy for each of your channel individually.

Follow these steps to configure custom fallback links:

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Features and select Fallback links.

  2. Click on the button "Configure custom fallback".

  3. Select your channel followed by the custom fallback url. You can also choose the option All channels to use the same custom fallback for all of your channels.

  4. Save Changes: Once you have made your selection, click Create custom fallback. Your fallback is now active for that channel you've choosen!

Fallback offers

If you haven't setup any custom fallback link, Fallback offers will automatically display if:

  • A brand has ended or is temporarily paused.

  • Your channel is not approved for the brand.

  • The tracking link contains an invalid brand ID
